Agriculture:
On an average there are mostly small and marginal farmers in the Tehri District. The productivity of crop varieties (traditional) is low. Increasing the productivity of land and there by the life standard of the people, is the main target of the developmental efforts. With this aim in mind, it has been decided that emphasis will be laid on various components like field demonstration of activities related to rural technology, improved agricultural techniques, creation of Agri Business center etc. (All these components are mentioned in year wise action plan of Agriculture). Action plan will be completed in three years. All activities will be followed under technical guidance of G.B.Pant University Hill Campus Ranichauri/K.V.K. Ranichauri Tehri Garhwal.
